Framing the Edges – Exploring features and potentials of pragmatic landscapes along main transportation routes

Human settlements have brought about mobility infrastructure and, at the same time, are a result of it. Along historical main transportation routes and current Trans European Transport Networks, functional diversities and proximities, social mélange and globally serving infrastructures result in urban patterns beyond stereotypical big city narratives. Features and potentials of these pragmatic landscapes are displayed in the contribution by urbanes land at the TIME SPACE EXISTENCE exhibition in Venice 2020. The Riga Metropolitan Region, the Oxford – Cambridge Corridor and the Attic peninsula are three of them.
