Verena Krappitz is a research assistant and co-creator in the research area of urbanes.land at Biberach University of Applied Sciences. Supporting the team with GIS-based cartography and project-oriented information design she joined the initiative on the occasion of the Wüstenrot Foundation cooperation project “Stadt und Land gemeinsam denken“. Verena finished her Master in Architecture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart where she supervised digital fabrication techniques and worked as an assistant for the chair of urban design. Before, she has been gathering professional experiences in the US and Germany. Her recent projects focus on mobility and strategic spatial development. Within this frame she questions and works with future visualizing as a tool to design resilient urban prospects. Verena explores and evaluates a diversified use of digital tools to unfold and communicate potentials in urban planning.
