Mario Flammann is the managing director of Pesch Partner Architekten Stadtplaner Stuttgart/Dortmund. He is an experienced urban planner focusing on sustainable planning strategies for cities of all sizes. Mario has been working on neighbourhood developments, regeneration projects and urban development strategies on all scales and in all planning phases for more than fifteen years. In the recent past he commenced to directed the Stuttgart office and is a favoured jury member in urban planning competitions.
Mario is a visiting professor at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences teaching urban design in the department of infrastructure management.
In the architectural association and other professional networks he campaigns for a better understanding of urban-rural relationships. The association’s strategy group in the field provides essential impulses for innovation in planning procedures, practice and law, picking up contemporary challenges such as land rights, migration or advancement of planning tools.
He will be part of the panel CONNECTED + BALANCED at the Urban Land Conference.
